On your wedding day, the Banyan Tree Spa offers perfect sanctuary in which to pamper the bride and groom prior to the ceremony. A couple’s Javanese Lulur massage borrows from ancient 17th century bridal rituals to cleanse the body and improve energy flow. A luxurious flower bath concludes this purifying ritual. Later, the bride is helped into her wedding gown by her spa assistants. We collaborate with the resort staff to ensure all floral decorations and ceremonial preparations are in place during this time. The bride is escorted to the wedding site where the groom awaits.

Banyan Tree offers a range of non-denominational ceremonies aside from having a catholic priest perform a civil status ceremony. These range from romantic ideas such as a rose ritual or a Creole coconut ceremony (drinking from a coconut and setting it into the ocean) or actually planting a coconut tree, to having a Tibetan-inspired ceremony with chimes and a spiritual ‘five elements ribbon ceremony’. Some of the ceremonies also take into account the couple’s children, if involved (whether or not present). All of these wedding ceremonies can be customized to your own ideas and the staff are happy to work with you to come up with entirely new ideas.

For your wedding ceremony, Into Seychelles will include a Civil Status Ceremony conducted by a priest, and senior resort staff will act as your witnesses. A professional photographer will record the entire event and have the prints delivered later to your hotel. The venue will be decorated with palms and local island flowers (usually, hibiscus and frangipani depending on what’s in bloom). A small bridal posey and rose buttonhole for the groom is designed to your choice. A one-tier Wedding Cake (your choice of cake) will be provided for the cake cutting ceremony, along with a bottle of Moet Chandon for toasts, followed by canapés. After the wedding, an intimate dinner for two (private beach barbeque or a dinner service in your villa) is arranged, followed by a romantic turndown service. A custom wedding day program will be designed for you by your personal wedding coordinator at Into Seychelles and mailed to you in a wedding planner.
